P.E.O. is passionate about its mission of promoting educational opportunities for women.  The Sisterhood proudly makes a difference in women’s lives with six philanthropies that include Cottey College, an independent, liberal arts and sciences college for women, and five programs that provide higher educational assistance: P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund, P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund, P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, P.E.O. Scholar Awards and P.E.O. STAR Scholarship, P.E.O. is headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa.

P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund
Educational Loan Fund (ELF) is a revolving load fund established in 1907 to lend money to qualified women students to assist them in securing a higher education.  READ MORE….

P.E.O. Scholar Awards (PSA) was established in 1991 to provide

Individual donors may make tax-deductible gifts to these projects or though the P.E.O. Foundation.  Checks should be made payable to the project or the P.E.O. Foundation and sent directly to the P.E.O. Executive Office.  Donations may also be made online through this link.

All P.E.O. chapters are classified by the United States Internal Revenue Service as exempt from Federal income tax, but they are not Section 501(c)(3) charities.  Consequently contributions to P.E.O. chapters are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic, educational organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
