Cottey Visitation Forms for Prospective Students

Spread your Wings by spreading the word about Cottey in 2025-2026

Cottey College is an independent, liberal arts and sciences women’s college in Nevada, Missouri. Since 1884, the College has offered young women the opportunity to learn and grow into leaders, role models, and confident individuals. Cottey’s focus is providing women a unique environment where they may pursue high academic standards, develop successful leadership skills and provide each student with the opportunity to participate in an International Experience.

In 2025, for the ninth consecutive year, Cottey was ranked among the Best Colleges in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report. Enrollment for the 2025-26 academic year stands at 249 students who represent 37 states and 9 countries. The most popular fields of study include Education, Business, Psychology and Criminology. With 24 academic majors and nearly as many minors, over 25 Student Clubs/Organizations, 12 NAIA sports teams, the possibility to study abroad for a semester and the opportunity to travel abroad for an International Experience, Cottey is a well-rounded educational experience for young women.

The International Experience destination for 2026 will be Prague and Munich. Students have the chance to travel abroad for a one-week international adventure. Cottey covers the cost of airfare, lodging and group excursions. Participation in abbreviated study modules led by faculty members make the trip both educational, informative and fun.

P.E.O.’s continued support of Cottey is multi-faceted. Your student referrals, support of current Cottey students and generous contributions help to sustain and grow the success of Cottey College. Currently, New Mexico has one student from our state attending Cottey. Consider contacting a Cottey Committee member to obtain her information and send a card or small care package with positive words of support.

Refer a prospective student! I can speak from experience….once my daughter was on campus, she was HOOKED! The visit experience is vital and can be a major influence on the decision to attend. New Mexico has a dedicated Cottey Visit Fund where prospective students may apply for up to a $1,000 reimbursement to visit the campus in Nevada, MO. Please contact a Cottey Committee member listed on the NM State P.E.O. Website for more information or assistance.
